Weare going through a tough time with my wife's cancer, but we have gotten through many tough days with friends and family. I can't say enough about our circle of friends, neighbors, co-workers, and friends.
As we go through the stages of grief and the cancer process I am cheered up by the generosity and caring of our friends. My refrigerators have been over flowing with food and my counter tops are full of dessert. Today was a slow day where only 13 people stopped by.
They have been respectful, and yet so helpful. They have vacuumed and served food to the guests and cleaned up the mess after everybody left. Neighbors have run errands for us. People have even weeded my garden and ironed cloths. It is absolutely amazing what people have done. I can never repay the kindness.
So I simply say THANK YOU to everybody. From the bottom of our hearts Ryan, Katie, and I say thank you for being there. My wife Marianne can't say thank you, but she would have tears in her ey by all you have done.

There's nothing more valuable in life than the love of good, true friends.
We are always surprised how much it means to others to be able to help someone else. It is when we are at our best.
Russ - Seems like you have a lot of folks who care about you, Russ. Rightfully so. I'm glad to read that this community has reached out in your time of need. That's what it is all about.
Hi Russ, I thank you for the reminder and send my best wishes to you and Marianne.
Russ,
What a heartfelt post, you are so right, we just say thank you at every opportunity, regardless of the circumstances. All the best.
Russ, I am sure that your friends realize how thankful you are without verbalizing it.
Russ, hope all will continue to work together for your good. There are a lot of people who are pulling for you and may have a situation in their own lives that they are dealing with also.
Russ, Your character shines through this post.. that you thought it important to take the time to write a thank you post during this very stressful time for you and your family.
We pray for you and yours.

The best treasure in life . .is friends .. .excellent post Russ and wishing you the best for your wife's health
Your post have touched my soul as I know all too well the stages of this disease. May God continue to bless you with great friend and a wonderful family.
Trust me...there is no needs for thanks with the people you are surrounded by as they would do these thing for ya'll day in and day out...I believe that!
The number of friends and all they are doing says "tons" about you two. Can't imagine how you have the strength to post during this time. God Bless you and your family.
Russ- Having just read all of the lovely and wonderful posts about your wife, I find myself having difficulty typing because of the tears streaming down my face and even the occasional laughter (loved the post about over-feeding everyone). What an incredibly wonderful tribute to your wife. She sounds like an extraordinary woman and you were blessed to have her as long as you did but I'm sure she was blessed too to have been so loved by you and so many others.
