That you are a better person for being part of Active Rain? It is my one year anniversary today. I started exactly one year ago today. I honestly can't say what got me to active rain, or what got me to be an active blogger.
All I know is that I have become a better person because of active rain. I have become a part of a community, a community of great people. A community that shares their knowledge. A real estate community that has buyers, sellers of real estate and their interests in their heart. People who are trying to be better at their business, through honesty, integrity, and constant learning.
We are becoming more transparent in our dealings. We put our thoughts, our trials, the problems of our everyday business out there so others can learn from our experiences. Thanks to the Active Rain leadership, and it's members I feel I have grown. I've learned from all of you. Thanks for making me a little better person.

I am walking in the Tampa 3 day cancer walk in October. Support cancer research by going to www.the3day.org/goto/marianneravary and donate as much as you can. My wife got to live 20 years after finding out she had breast cancer due to advances in cancer treatment. Be part of the team and help me. I would like to be able to give some other "special lady" (like my wife Marianne) more days on this earth. If we can give another lady another night to enjoy with friends, an extra week to laugh & hug her kids, an extra month to love her spouse, or an extra year then our money will be going to a good cause. The grants from the Susan G Komen 3 day walk have been instrumental in cancer research. Help me give more time to somebody else please donate to the 3day walk. Thanks

What I like about AR is the comaradarie that is often times so absent in our profession. We have a wonderful group here--caring and giving. It's filled a gap in my career during an otherwise miserable real estate year.
I agree..I really do owe my business to being a member of active rain, without it, I would probably be working else where this year..

Congratulations on that anniversary!
I joined in March 2007 but took a 17-month sabbatical. I came back because the place where I had made home had become full of egoistic negative people. I don't mind egoistic positive people, but I just don't like the negative folks. When I came back, it was political season and I saw a lot of political ranting and raving. The cool thing, though, was that even though people were ranting and raving, they were doing so in a Pleasant, Polite, Personable, Positive, and Professional manner. I've not seen the 5 P's at any other site where I've played around since 1994.
Awwww! Happy Anniversary! But doesnt time fly by when you are blogging! I joined in October and I just love it! It has been such a pleasure to meet you.

I agree. ActiveRain is a great place to meet wonderful people. It's a brilliant concept, with the added benefit of powerful Google juice. Plus, the learning never ends. I never ever thought I would become a blogger! :)

Happy anniversary to you and yes - I feel the exact same way! I absolutely know that I'm better off as a result of Active Rain. Had it not been for AR, I would never have started blogging seriously, among a whole lot of other things. So I'm so glad I stopped the train here as well!
