Positive thoughts

I think just about every area around the nation is starting to feel the pinch.  Home sales prices are down, fewer buyers can qualify, and money is tighter.  Friends and family members are getting laid off.

Now more than ever we need to have positive affirmation around us.  Another blogger propose a "gratitude list".  A list of things that we are grateful for.  Whether it is simple as being able to walk or being able to see.  Whether it  is being thankful for a good friend or being thankful for being a parent.  It is a great idea to have a list of things that we are thankful for.

But go beyond that.  It is time to do positive affirmations.  Write done something positive.  Like "I am a good Realtor"  Say it 10 to 20 times morning, noon, and night.  Also do a positive affirmation about what you are going to do.  Like " I am going to get a listing this week"  Say it over and over.  Then take some steps to make it happen.

Then last but not least get that goal board, the dream board out.  Sure you might have to re do your goals.  But get that picture out, of the vacation you want to go one.  The new furniture you want.  Or the luxury item you want.  Post the picture where you can see it.

Post the affirmations, the gratitude list, and the goal board where you can see them.  Make multiple copies.  Have one at work, have one at home.  Have 3 or 4 boards and lists.  If you see them ever where you go then they will become part of your life.

Napoleon Hill once said "Whatever the mind of man can concieve and believe, it can achieve."

Post what you are thankful for, what you can do, and what you want to do.  Make it happen.

YOU CAN SURVIVE AND MAKE A GOOD LIVING THROUGH THESE TOUGH TIMES.  STAY POSITIVE.

I am going to get another buyer to replace the one I just lost. That is positive.

Thank you Russ:

You are right, we must be positive and do whatever we can to keep us with a positive attitude.  There are some people hurting badly and a motivated smiling face will make the difference.

It is important that we stay positive, but a lot of people are really suffering - it makes it very difficult.

HI Russ, staying positive and in-charge of your own destiny is what makes us do what we do, help people sell homes and property.  The process of representation demands a positive attitude without it selling would be nearly impossible.

One of the issues I look at .... I still have buyers and the inventory to show has never been better.  Here is something else, we can have empathy for the situations of others and offer kind words of understanding and still sell.  Nice Post Russ.

Russ, excellent. We have to stay positive, I am watching less news and listening to my Jack Canfield success tapes on my IPod again.

Hi Russ - Remaining positive even during the "worst of times" is important.  We are seeing a lot of negative evens in this economy including high unemployment rates as well as the times you listed.  We will recover and we will find the "best of times" ahead.
